Rooh-e-sharbat | Rose Mojito | Summer Drink

Hello foodies,

In India, while summers are taking toll on everyone with high degree temperature and month of Ramadan just got over, the most common drink doing in most of the houses is RoohAfza.

Everyone does their experiment with it. Some add it to milk while other add it to deserts like Falooda, Rabri and more. I like to combine it with Limca and here for you is my recipe.

I would like to share facts about RoohAfza.

 

Little Facts-

Roohesharbat rose mojito summer drink

RoohAfza literary means “refresher of soul”. It is being manufactured since 1948 by ‘Hamdard’. It is concentrated syrup made with Unani recipe with ingredients like rose, chicory, European white lily, orange, mint and others that have cooling effect.

Hence, it is best for summers, to stay hydrated and fresh through-out the day.

 

Now, the recipe for you!!!


Rooh-e-sharbat | Rose Mojito | Summer Drink

Preparation time: 5 Minutes

Serves: 2 people

Ingredients:

  • ¼ tsp– salt
  • ¼ tsp– black salt
  • ¼ tsp– black pepper
  • 1-1/2 tbps – RoohAfza syrup
  • 6 – mint leaves
  • 1 thin slice of lemon
  • 1 tsp – soaked chia seeds
  • 600 ml – Limca/ soda/ sprite

Method :

  • Add ¼ tps table salt, black salt and black pepper to 600 ml of Limca.
  • Add 1-1/2 tps RoohAfza syrup and 1 tbsp. soaked chia seed.
  • Stir well, till all ingredients mixes well.
  • Add crused mint leaves and a slice of lemon
